A Personal Experience By Lacie

This story begins when me and my friend were all telling scary stories. I heard one that me and my friend thought was interesting because it was in or near our hometown, Altamont. The story was that a little girl (about the age of nine) was mad and upset, so she ran away from her home carring her favorite doll. She walked for about two or three days till she found a park that she was going to stay at. The next day she died. They didn't know what caused her death. It is said that if you are in or nearby the park, you will see a doll. A doll that always has a smile on it's face.

After hearing the story me and my friend decided it would be pretty cool if we checked it out and to see if the story was real. So we walked to a park that we thought was the park in the story. So we stayed there for about thirty minutes when we heard a giggle and saw something in the distance. I yelled 'Is anyone there' and we heard another giggle. We saw the same thing, but this time a little closer. My friend let out a really loud scream. I covered her mouth with my hand and told her to shut up. The thing just sat there. So I decided to walk up to it. When I got closer I saw a doll with a grin stretched across its face. This time I screamed. My friend ran up with a worried look across her face. She saw what I was staring at and screamed too. Then when my mind cleared I ran as fast as I could, and my friend followed. When we got back to my house we swore we would never tell this story to anyone.
