Tiana's Dream

Personal Experience by Tiana

When I am alone, I find myself always watching my back to see who or what is watching me. There are times when I see things that other people don't. I am a Native American, and there are some of us that have special talents or senses that we don't know that we have. For instance, like me, I have control over something but don’t know what it is. Other times, I can feel someone there, but I know there isn't anyone around.

As a little girl, I saw a man every night in my window right before I went to bed. He looked like one of those old western movie types of men. One day, he just went away. So when a bad spirit is around me, I always have bad dreams.

One night, I had a dream about waking up in a house and not knowing where I was. My friends, Sherrel and Tina, were there with me. My two brothers, along with a chic named Roch and some other guys came in and told us to get ready to go pick something up. My brothers looked evil. They looked like I never seen them before. But I just ignored it.

We got ready, and my brother told me, "Go straight up that hill and ask a man for a box at that house right there. When you get the box and come back down, then you come down that trail and not the way you went up." I said, “Okay,” and as we were about to head out, I looked at the clock. It was 11:15. We walked up the hill towards the man's house. I was the one who asked the man where the box was. He said, "Around the corner on top of the freezer." We walked around his house, and, sure enough, the box was there. We walked down the trail with all three of us holding the box.

When we got to the bottom, the firs thing Roch did was open it. They took out big guns and examined them for a while. Then Roch pointed one at me and said, "All three of you get inside the house!" I looked at my brother and asked, “What's going on?” as my brothers pointed their guns at me, too. They just said "Get in the house!" I walked in with Sherrel and Tina, and they began to cry. I kept looking at Roch and my brothers, but they wouldn't look me in the eye. I asked again, "What's going on?!" They just looked at me with no answer. They pointed their guns directly at me. I looked at one of my brothers, and, once he made eye contact with me, he broke down in tears.

"I don't want to do this Tan! I don't want to, but I have to! I have to!" He kept saying it over and over. I was crying, and my other brother would just sit there and look at me. I looked at him as tears fell down his face, too. "On the count of three!" Roch said. "One, two.." I looked at my brothers. "Don't do this!" I pleaded. One of them said, "I love you little sister." In the distance, I heard a “three,” and then I felt a blow to the head.

In my dream, I woke up and was in the house where the dream started. I looked at my friends who were both waking up as well. We all started talking at once. We all had the same dream. Then, my brothers and Roch came into the room. Exactly as in our dreams, my brother told us to go pick up a box. We got ready, and I looked at the clock. 11:15. Same time as before. Everything was happening all over again. Just as in the dream! Only this time, we decided not to wait for the man to tell us where the box was. We knew what was in it. That’s when I really woke up.
