| The Young Girl that Cried Mommy |
|
A Personal Experience By Melanie
When I was very young, my mother and aunt took my cousin and I to a haunted hay ride in the woods. It was still sundown so it wasn’t frightening. Then when it got dark the ride stopped to let the children off, and the teens and adults on. When we got back to our car and started to drive through the drive way, we saw someone on the pavement. The headlights were off so it wasn’t very clear, but we could make out that the person was about 13 or 14 and was crawling on her hands and knees. We could hear her saying “Mommy, mommy…” At first we immediately thought it was a teenager trying to scare us, or part of the act. So my aunt turned on the headlights to get a better look, but the moment she did, the person was gone. It was very weird and unsettling. So, she turned the lights back off, and there she was again. “Mommy, mommy…” My mother and my aunt jumped, yet my cousin and I were calm for some reason. Panicked, my aunt continued to switch on and off the headlights, and still the girl only came up in the dark. Terrified, my mother told her to leave the headlights on, and we drove away. To this day I remember it, and still whenever I talk to my mother, aunt, or cousin about it, they say they don’t remember. But I know it wasn’t a dream. I’m certain of that. |
