The Party That Ended In Murder
On the night of September 28, there were a group of teenagers: Adriana, Sage, Aaron, Alex, and James. They all got together and went to a party that one of the guys’ friends was having. The boys were all excited to go party and drink. After being at the party for 3 hours, the girls got bored. “It’s so pathetic that the guys have to get drunk, in order to have fun,” Sage said. “Yeah, Adriana said, if the boys don’t get their act together, I’m leaving.”
An hour later, the girls got fed up and decided to walk home. James slurred, “it’ss time to go hoome. I thinks.” The boys decided that Aaron should drive. But, keep in mind; all the boys had 4 hours worth of beer in their system. James and Alex were fighting in the back seat about whom Adriana liked. “Why would she like you, you’re a disgrace”, hiccupped James. Aaron turned in his seat and yelled for the both of them to shut the hell up. Aaron turned the right way in his seat, but not fast enough to avoid hitting something. The boys yelled, when they heard a “THUMP!” Alex yelled, “what the hell was that?!” Just then, a hand hit their window with a heavy boom. It was covered in blood and the boys got scared. “Please tell me that I’m tripping. Please tell me!” Aaron said. The hand was still for a moment, but then it started to shake. “Help,” cried a voice. “Oh my god, I know that voice. Oh my god, we hit Sage!” James jumped out of the car, and ran to the front of the car. He stopped abruptly. “Guys! Guys! Come here! We have an even bigger problem”. Alex and Aaron looked at each other, “what could possibly be bigger?” they both said. “well, um… we hit someone else too. I think Adriana is dead.” Alex dropped to his knees and yelled up at the sky, “Please god, I know that I did wrong, but please don’t take her away from me. Please! I’ll do anything!” Sage started to cough up blood, and then her head went limp in Aaron’s arms. James got out his cell phone, and called 911. “911- state your emergency.” James said, “I need help, there’s been an accident. My friends and I were coming home from a party, and well, we drank a lot. Anyways, we hit 2 girls. I think they are dead.” The operator said, “hold on, we’ll send help.” James ran back and tried to stop the bleeding on Sage.
10 minutes later, the ambulance and the police showed up. The EMT called, “Time of death for Sage Davidson, 12:45am.” Then he called, “Time of death for Adriana Matthews, 12:38am.” Alex screamed out, “No! Please no, not Adriana, please save her, do something!” Aaron went running to Alex to try and comfort him. No matter what he did, he couldn’t help him. A police officer walked up to the boys and asked, “Who was the one that was driving?” Aaron raised his hand, and said quietly, “I was.” The police officer gave a hand signal to another officer, and he said, “You are under arrest for the murder of Sage Davidson and Adriana Matthews. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney and for an attorney to be present during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you.” Aaron was taken away in a cop car. Alex and James got rides home. James got dropped off first, then Alex. James was worried about Alex, he thought to himself, I’ll call in a little while.
Meanwhile, at home, Alex couldn’t take it. He decided enough was enough, he moaned, “I can’t do this, not anymore, no more.” He wrote a letter to his mom, it read: Dear mom, you know I love you, and you know I’ve been depressed, but tonight topped it off. I lost Adriana. Maybe now we will be together in heaven. I want you to be strong, and let my friends know I’ll miss them. Bye mom. I love you.” He went down to his basement, with a chair and some rope. He tied the rope onto a metal air duct. He then pinned the note to his shirt, then he stood on the chair, and put the noose around his neck. Then he looked up at the sky and said, “This is for you, Adriana.” Then he kicked out the chair. It fell, and Alex hung. A few hours later, his mom came home, and got the laundry from upstairs, then she headed down to the basement, and when she got to the bottom of the stairs, she dropped the basket, and collapsed. “No, no, my baby, no, what did you do? No!” she cried. She saw something on his shirt, so she went over, and reached for the note with her shaky hands. She read it and started to cry. She ran upstairs and called 911. Only then did she notice, a girl, a girl that looked like Adriana. She was hovering over Alex, and said, “Good, I got my love, but that’s not enough. Next is Aaron. The murderer that he is.” Alex’s mother felt her heart jump. Then she collapsed, but this time she didn’t get up. She was dead.
