The Office Ghost

A Personal Experience By Elaine

It all happened one night while I was helping my mom out at her job. I was in one of the offices vacuuming, and I was listening to my IPod; I was basically in my own world. Suddenly, I entered the other part of the office and I glanced over by the coffee machine, where I saw a figure, but I turned back around. I turned around again, and it was still there.

The good thing is I didn't get a bad vibe from it, and I didn't feel scared, more like SHOCKED, because I had NEVER experienced something like this before. The more I stared at it, the more my eyes would cross. It seemed like a figure just standing there looking back at me. After that day, I've never seen the figure again. I kind of believe that building is haunted—well, mainly the second floor, because before that day, I remember I felt like something was watching me the whole time or following me, that I just kept turning around and nothing was there. Later on that night, when I was driving home, I decided to tell my mom.

I was like, "Mom, I don't want you to think I'm crazy, but all day I've felt like something has been watching me or following me," and she said "Really? Me too!! I even thought I heard my name being called and I would turn around, but nothing was there!" I felt so scared, but surprised. I would've NEVER imagined my mom to have felt the exact same way I did, and though we’ve still never seen the figure again, we both know it was there.
