The Ghosts of Columbia Point |
|
A Personal Experience By Anonymous
I can clearly remember when I was a young girl living on the streets of Columbia Point. At the time, it was a hot and dark night. I walked from my Aunt Wina's house back to my mother’s. When I got halfway there, no one was outside but me. It was about 10:00 p.m. Out of the blue, I heard someone call my name softly enough that it was as if they were right beside me, but when I turned around, there was no one there but me. I felt my heart starting to beat faster, and then my first impression was to run. Instead, I just picked up the pace of my walking. When I was almost home, I heard someone call my name even louder. At that moment, I was scared. I just stood there, looking around as if someone was going to jump and say, “Gotcha!” Next thing I knew, I was running so fast that I almost ran past my apartment straight to my grandmother’s house, because I was too afraid to turn around.
