The Defective Motion Sensor
(116 votes)
A Personal Experience By Michelle

It happened one weekend when I was staying at my friend’s house in Arizona. She told me that the house she used to live in (now her sisters Lacey and Jocey live in it) was haunted. Well, I am intrigued by ghost stories and happenings, so I was happy that we were going to stay at her sisters that night! Her sister picked us up from school and took us to around the city doing errands. We just got done eating at in and out when Jocey got a phone call from the police that a motion sensor went off inside the house and to come see if anything was stolen. So we rushed off to the house and we were met by the police who were there. The police there told us which motion sensor went off, and immediately when they told us which one it was, Jocey and Lacey were like that can't be... that sensor has been broken for years, and we know that because when the alarm was on, my friend, Jenny, and I would run right by that sensor and it would never go off.

All of us were really freaked out. We checked the house to see if anyone was hiding in the rooms or if anything was stolen. Nothing was stolen, but a light was on that we knew was left off, so the police left us. Once the police left the cupboards started opening in the kitchen, even when we closed them, they would open again. When we came back to the living room, Martin, Jocey's ex-boyfriend looked like he had seen a ghost, and when we asked him what was wrong, he said he had indeed seen a ghost in the television set, standing by the lamp. By this time we were all freaking out and were like, we need to get out, hurry. So we got into the car and went to Wal-Mart until one in the morning and came back to the house to sleep. The next day Jocey,(who by the way is superstitious) told us that she had seen the same name on three different people, including the policeman that day. Now, it may be a coincidence, or not. You can make your own inference on it. That is my tale of a night that scared even a grown man, who is afraid of nothing.
