The Black Shadow of Cassiano Homes
Back in 2001, in San Antonio, Texas, in government housing (Cassiano Homes) called “ghost town,” my sister and I were up late watching a movie in the living room. All of a sudden, my sister’s jaw dropped, and her face went very white. I asked her, "What’s wrong? Are you okay?" She started talking, her lips trembling, and pointed to the window. "Look! Look! Those eyes outside the window are staring right at us!" I turned around, and all I could see was a pair of eyes floating on the other side of the window - just staring.
My sister was screaming, and I looked away for a second and looked back, but the eyes were gone. We thought it was over, but we were wrong! Right after that, we heard the sound of heavy footsteps. We both panicked. Then, we heard a creepy laugh coming from upstairs. The steps creaked as if someone was coming down them. The laugh got creepier every second. The steps became louder, faster, stronger. My sister and I covered ourselves with a blanket, screaming.
Then, all of a sudden, dead silence. We waited like two minutes or so. We took the blanket off and saw a dark, black shadow standing by the stairs just a few feet from us! It was just staring with those same eyes that stared at us from outside the window. We were both in shock. Suddenly, the shadow gave out a loud scary cry and vanished! My sister and I screamed from the top of our lungs with tears rolling down our eyes.
My husband then came out of the room worried that something had happened. We asked him if he heard anything. He said he had only heard the T.V. and then our screams. We told him what happened. He told us about the time that he was home alone, and he heard what sounded like someone falling down the stairs. Weirdly, the bathroom door would not open, when he tried to open it. Suddenly, the bathroom door opened, but nobody was there!
We never mentioned this to anyone until now, but it was an experience that I will never forget!
