Mystery Man and a Ghost Dog
It was about 7:50 PM and there was a lot of rain. My dad and I were playing Connect Four. I was about to win when Mom called me in to brush my teeth. While I was brushing my teeth, I heard a noise. It was weak, like someone was about to die. "Get out," it said. I ran out as fast as I could and I told Mom about it. Her answer was,"Mackana, there is no such thing as ghosts. Now, get to bed," so I did. I turned off the light and pulled the covers over me and went to sleep.
Just before I fell asleep, I heard a noise,"scratch, scratch, scratch."
"Is that my dog scratching or my mind playing tricks on me?" I wanted to find out. I climbed out of bed, got a flashlight, and went to the kitchen. The noise was getting softer, so I went back into my bedroom. When I got back, I saw two shadows, one a man and one a dog. The dog looked like Amazon, our pit-bull that died a year earlier. I didn't recognize the man.
"Were you the one who told me to get out?" I was puzzled.
"Leave, this place is haunted," the man said.
"I don't get it; I lived here for five years. I never saw anything like this before," I said, confused. I tried to give Amazon a hug, but I just I just fell through her transparent body. I guess my mom heard me fall so she came in. The man said,"We will be back," then they went out my window.
Totally terrified, my mom went into my room and asked, "Is everything alright?"
"Yes" I said. When my mom left, I went to the window, and wished they would come again.
