Ghost Stories

Michael's Haunting

Personal Experience by Michael

I was about 12 years old, and I had just moved to a new house in Phoenix, Arizona. I began a new school and everything was great. I was having an awesome time in school fitting in and all that good stuff. I met someone that lived very close to me. We became friends very quickly and had a lot in common.

One night, we decided to have an all-night hangout (or a sleepover). As we were waiting outstide for his mom to come home from work, the blinds in his sister’s room window started going up and down. There was no one in the house, so me and him were kind of hysterical! His sister’s room light was turning on and off. My friend finally told me that his house was haunted, and I was kinda mad but happy at the same time.

After we ate dinner, I had almost forgotten everything, until we were all alone. Then, it got weird. He told me the story of why he thinks the house is haunted. He said that when he first moved into his house, him and his friends used a ouija board in his attic. Automatically, I told him that he was messing with something he couldn’t control. Then, he said, “It’s alright, because I BURNED IT!” I was freaked out and told him, “Well, now it’s stuck here!”

After my friend fell asleep, I could hear scratching on the wall all night. I finally fell asleep, but I woke up some time during the night, and there was a shadow pulling on my feet! It looked at the closet and freaked out or something and backed up and was gone!

After that night, I knew his house was definitely haunted. I never stayed at his house again, and I am now more cautious of where I stay.
