La Chusa and my Friend's Grandmother
My friend, her cousin, and her brother were outside. They went inside their grandmother's house to get a couple slices of pizza. When they came out, my friend's brother was whistling for La Chusa. Supposedly, La Chusa is a lady with wings that seeks the souls of humans when they are close to dying. My friend and her cousin told him to shut up because they are Hispanic, and La Chusa is something that they believe in. My friend and her cousin left her brother outside and locked the door because La Chusa is said to haunt only those who whistle the call. Later, they let her brother in the house and they went to go to bed. The next morning, my friend's grandmother said that she saw La Chusa fly by and land on her windowpane. She heard the call, luckily she didn't return it. It was sooooo scary when my friend told me this.
