Fatherly Presence
Hi, I'm 37, and what I have to share with you happened when I was about 9 years old. I was alone at home, and I started to feel as if someone were behind me. I felt scared, and my body froze completely. I remember trying to look back in order to see who was at my back, but I couldn't move! I was stuck! Then, I ran to the street. I felt this presence during the following weeks, and the same thing would happen. I would get scared, try to look back but couldn’t and would run to the street.
One day, I got that same scary feeling only, this time, it was different. I was finally able to look back - very slowly, and I saw a very black shadow of a man looking at me from behind. He was watching me. The shadow was not moving and did not speak or make any kind of noise. I got extremely scared. From that day on, when I was at home, I tried not to be alone, and I used to avoid walking without my back against the wall. Now, I could feel the shadow in front of me instead of behind me. Only this time, I couldn’t see it!
One night, as I was trying to sleep, the shadow appeared for the very first time in front of me. I was able to look at the shadow. It was really amazing! The shadow was so black - a kind of black that I had never seen before.
I didn’t see the shadow again until I was 12. As soon as I saw it, I got scared, and it disappeared immediately. I spoke with several people about this, and all said the same thing. People say it could be my father who died when I was 4.
Nowadays, I have a strong feeling that the shadow will try to reach me again. But this time, I’ve already promised myself that I won't be scared. I'll talk to this presence in order to know what it wants. I believe this presence has something to share with me, and that it is not evil.
