Evie's New Neighbors
There is a house on our block that people have been renting and moving in and out of for several years. Recently, when new neighbors moved in, we simply believed they were average people; we were very wrong. Our team, which includes us and another friend, were looking at the old house, hoping to catch a small glimpse of the new neighbors. Instead, we saw small, white objects floating in the windows! We were shaking, but we were still interested. Suddenly, the shutters began to open and close! All of us winced and trembled, but we decided to go back one more time. As we tiptoed around the yard, the door slammed open and a bloody black figure with glowing eyes slid out! We screamed at the top of our lungs and decided not to go back.
A few days later, while boating on the river, we discovered that a teenager lived there. He pulled up to us in a kayak and began to stare at us. I looked him over and saw that his eyes were totally black! "Cool kayak," Joe said to him. He was silent. "Sorry about my dogs barking at you." Joe tried again. Still nothing. In a few minutes, the kid paddled away. One thing is for sure: Our new neighbors are not normal people.
