A Personal Experience By Devon

For the start of 2009, me and some of my family decided to go to the cabins and celebrate by having fun, shooting fireworks, etc. There are only two cabins: one for me, my mom, my step-dad, my brother, and sister, and the other for my cousin’s immediate family. As nightfall came, we began to let loose and have some fun as everyone was outside watching the fireworks. Well, after drinking a good seven or eight sodas, I had to use the restroom.

As soon as I walked into my cabin, I noticed the bathroom door had just shut and the lights came on, so I figured someone must have just walked in before me. I sat on the bed waiting and heard the toilet flush, then I heard the sink run, but then it got quiet and no one was coming out of the bathroom, so as I was just about to get up and knock to see if everything was OK, I heard banging and screaming from the bathroom. It sounded like my cousin’s voice, so worried and scared, I yelled for her to move back I was going to kick the door down, since it was locked.

As I did, the door flew open; the lights were off and no one was in there. I took a good five minutes to search the bathroom, although it’s actually pretty small, and I was then convinced that this cabin was haunted. I rushed outside to run dead smack into my cousin, and I told her everything, and then, of course, I had to tell the rest of the family everything. Well, the next morning, we told the cabin owner the same thing, and he said that several years ago, a little girl had been killed in the bathroom by a thief who hid in the shower as she banged on the door and screamed.

We won’t be spending New Year’s there again!
