Colin's Ghostly Grandparents

Personal Experience by Colin

When I was about seven, my parents moved into my great- grandparents’ house. We have done research since then and found out that only two people died in the house, but the land was Indian territory. The two people that died in the house were my great-grandma and my great-grandpa.

My great-grandpa killed himself in the attic, but no one ever found out why; my great-grandma died of natural causes. But, there is one ghost, and we’re pretty sure that it’s my great-grandpa.

The first thing that happened, happened until the week we left. My two-year-old sister saw an old man with a top hat and a pipe. When she said this, my mom blew it off. But one day, after my dad had just gotten done with the night shift and was sleeping, something was messing with his hair. The second he woke up, his hair was yanked!

The second thing that happened is the creepiest. My room is upstairs, and the attic is in a crawl space in my room. For some reason, I never liked it. But me and my friend go into this crawl space with a flash light. As we got about ten feet from the end, our flash light went out. At the end of the attic, we could see a skeleton in a chair smoking a pipe with a hat on. It looked like an old-timey movie.

The third thing that happened is that my parents were sitting on the couch watching TV when a light blue mist came down the stairs and went into the bathroom.

Another thing that happened in our old house was in the middle of the night. It was about midnight. My parents heard the boards creaking like someone was walking down the stairs, but they thought nothing of it. But, after about 15 minutes, they thought the light was still on and got up to see if I was okay. They thought I had walked down the stairs. When they went to see if anyone was downstairs, there was no one there. Then, they checked on me, and I was in my bed snoring!

The last thing that I remember is that one night my parents had argued. The next morning, when my mom went to get the mail, she saw a very old beer bottle. To our knowledge, this particular type of beer is no longer made. What made it creepy was that this was the exact type of beer that my great-grandpa drank!
