A Personal Experience By Maria

One night, my friend’s Kodi and Kevin were staying the night at my cousin Jack's house. Now, I'm the ‘fraidy cat of the bunch, so when everybody wanted to watch The Exorcist, I left Jack's room and went straight for the computer in the living room. Once the movie was over, I rejoined them in the living room. We talked for about an hour. Then, Kevin and Jack got the bright idea to lock ourselves in Jack's bathroom and play Bloody Mary. I knew it was a bad idea, and so did Kodi, so we remained in the living room.

Jack and Kevin walked across the hall to the bathroom. Kodi and i sat on Jack's bed and just watched a few cartoons. About 20 minutes later, we got worried. Besides Jack and Kevin saying "Bloody Mary," about five times, it was silent. Then, we heard screaming. We jumped up and walked the three steps from Jack's room to the bathroom. They pounded on the door, screaming, “Get us outta here!!! The door's disappearing!!!"

Kodi thought they were kidding. Then she said, "Just open the door."

They tried. No luck. I reached out, expecting it to turn easily, like always. It did, but every time I pulled on the door, something held it back.

Kodi said, “Let the door go!" They screamed back that they weren't holding it. They stuck their fingers under the door to prove it. Kodi's eyes went wide. So, combining our strength, we forced the door open, releasing a shaken up Kevin and Jack.

They ran to the room, and nobody went in the bathroom for the rest of the night.
