19th Street Curse
This happened at a house that two friends and I rented from August 04 to August 05. The next people that rented the house had a baby die there. Here are two stories that I remember.
My roommate and I were leaving the house. As we walked out, I saw a woman in a white dress, standing next to my truck. She was leaning over my hood, looking right at me. Her head was bleeding and her mouth was open way too far. I saw this in seconds. My reflex was to shut my eyes and jump back, but in doing so, I jumped into my roommate behind me. I looked right back to my truck and she was gone. My roommate laughed and asked me what was wrong, but when I told him, he said he didn't see anything. I know what I saw. That split second has been burned in to my mind ever since.
The next incident happened on another day about 10:30 p.m. One roommate was at work. He got off at 11pm. My other roommate had to be to work at 11 p.m., but he was at his girlfriend’s. I was home alone and watching TV in the dark. I heard the back door open, then shut, and someone go downstairs. My roommate’s (that had to be at work at eleven) room was downstairs in the basement, so I thought he had come home to get ready for work. I went to the top of the stairs in the kitchen. The light for the staircase to the back door and the basement was off and I knew he would have turned them on, because he was scared of the house, too, so I yelled for him and got no answer.
I went to the room between the kitchen and living room that had a pool table in it, looked out the window, and saw only my truck. I went back to the living room to watch TV and forget what just happened, but then I heard someone run up the stairs and the back door open and shut again. I jumped up and looked out the living room window and saw no one. As I turned to grab my phone to call my roommate, all of the pool balls crashed into each other. I jumped and grabbed my keys by my phone and ran out the front door to my truck. I went to my mom's house in a different town to sleep that night. My roommate said he never came home before work. The next day, we checked out the basement and nothing was moved.
We moved not long after that, but the house has continued to plague its new occupants.
